“Worldwide Power Products offers several different options for rebuilding equipment. We can provide certified OEM rebuilds, rebuilds with OEM parts, and rebuilds with aftermarket parts.”

Worldwide Power Products (WPP) announced this week that Worldwide Power Products has considerably expanded its custom packaging and engine rebuild services for its customers. The expanded operations will be managed out of the 35,000 square foot facility in Houston and nearby partner facilities.

John Conine, Sales Director, remarks that by bringing the rebuilding process more in-house, Worldwide Power Products has greater complete control over the quality and efficiency of the rebuilding process and keep costs lower for its customers.

“Worldwide Power Products offers several different options for rebuilding equipment. We can provide certified OEM rebuilds, rebuilds with OEM parts, and rebuilds with aftermarket parts. We offer rebuild engines for both outright purchases and with core exchange,” explains Conine.

Conine says that most of the time, customers decide by themselves if they want to repair or replace equipment. Worldwide Power Products has a huge inventory of equipment to choose from. “In some cases, we can help them with a replacement cost by purchasing their old equipment from them. Either for core exchange or as a used piece of equipment that we will market and sell separately.”

When projects need equipment, the need is often immediate. These customers need “immediate availability” and Worldwide Power Products can easily handle that says Conine. Nevertheless, there are situations that require a custom solution. John says; “… this happens when a project requires a custom built product to match their requirements. People utilize rebuilds for this to get exactly what they want, for less cost than new, and much of the time it is quicker than ordering new.”

Another advantage of rebuilding or remanufacturing, which is another name the practice goes by, is that it makes heavy equipment far more sustainable by recycling it. When Worldwide Power Products rebuilds a generator or engine, the equipment is modernized to operate with a smaller carbon footprint. Often fuel supplies switch from diesel to natural gas or dual fuel. That is in addition to saving the resources needed to build the machine from scratch.

There is a difference that sets Worldwide Power Products apart from its competitors, Conine says “the difference is that Worldwide Power Products thinks outside the box in seeking the best solutions for converting and rebuilding older equipment. This allows customers to have more options available to them with a single call”.
