Worldwide Power Products Announces Purchase of Manufacturer-Rebuilt Gas Compression Engines; Expands Selection for Oil & Gas Industry Clients

Houston TX (June 28, 2013) Worldwide Power Products (WPP), a power-generation equipment provider to industrial clients worldwide, today announced it is expanding its selection of gas engines to include several refurbished Waukesha gas compression engines. The rebuilt Waukesha 9390 GSI units that WPP is purchasing have been factory refurbished to manufacturer’s specifications and fully inspected. A model from the versatile Waukesha VHP series, the 9390 GSI is built for dependability, durability and longevity in a diverse range of operating conditions.

“VHP engines are proven winners in the gas production industry, having a 40+ year history of being used in natural gas production applications,” says Shane Hackenberg, WPP’s Sales Director-Oil & Gas. “These 9390 GSI engines are a preferred choice for driving gas compressors in all stages of natural gas production, beginning at the wellhead and moving through processing, storage and distribution pipelines.”

WPP not only sells these gas compression engines; it also can create specialized configurations, adding customer-requested equipment and shipping the completed skid directly. As with all of its engines, WPP offers field support in the form of service and maintenance contracts for the Waukesha 9390 GSI engines to ensure maximum productive engine life.

“Manufacturer-reconditioned Waukesha engines are an excellent resource for companies in the gas compression industry,” says Hackenberg. “In the isolated locations where these engines sometimes operate, reliability is paramount, but price is always a concern. Since these engines are certified to factory specifications, purchasers can be confident about their reliability and performance but still enjoy the reduced ROI and faster delivery times of a used unit.”
