Project Overview
The WPP team coordinated a turnkey project for a Houston area municipality. The project required decommissioning the customers' existing 300kW Cummins generator set and installing a new 500kW diesel generator set and fuel tank. We were able to save the customer money by using the existing 300kW generator set and external fuel tank at another water plant site that required less power. The WPP team coordinated the removal and installation of the old Cummins 300kW generator and added a new custom-built sub-base mounted fuel tank. WPP technicians performed the decommissioning, installation, onsite adjustments, and start-ups for both gensets.
Equipment Solutions Provided
New 500kW Gillette SPVD-5000 diesel generator set (EPA Tier 2) and a new external fuel tank to fit the existing space. Plus a new custom sub-base diesel fuel tank on the customers used Cummins 300kW generator.

Supplied a new generator set and fuel tank, plus a new sub-base fuel tank for the existing generator set. The WPP coordinated the delivery of the generator and tank to the site, including the crane and rigging for offloading and on-site transportation. Decommissioned and removed the old generator, completed the installation of the new generator, and installed the existing generator with a new tank at a different site. Completed a start-up on both generators and will provide ongoing quarterly and annual maintenance on both generator sets.
