Project Overview

This project was designed to test a customer's 800 kVA MTU battery energy storage (ENERGYPACK QS) system before dispatching to the oilfield. WPP supplied a Caterpillar1250 kW diesel power module, a step-up transformer (480V to 600V 3 Phase), and incorporated a protection breaker to align with the 800 kVA battery pack. WPP also provided a 2000 kW resistive/reactive load bank at 600 volts, conducting concurrent testing of the battery pack and generator. This turn-key rental solution was utilized for a couple of weeks and resulted in safe and successful testing in order to get the battery storage system to the customers jobsite in West Texas.
