(2) 2MW 4160V Generator Load Bank Test for Water Treatment Facility

Project Overview

This project involved conducting a load test on 2 - 2 Megawatt (MW) diesel generators at a water treatment facility in Houston. The load test aims to verify the generator's capacity and performance under load. The generators were subjected to varying loads to ensure it can reliably power the water treatment facility during a power outage.

Multiple WPP Service technicians safely conducted a two-hour load test on the Cummins diesel generators using portable resistive load banks and step-up transformers (480V to 4160V).   WPP also provided the cable and delivery of the transformers.  In addition to an annual load bank test, WPP provides quarterly and annual maintenance services on these two generators.
