Senior Sales and Data Center Development Specialist – Houston, TX
Position Summary
The Senior Sales and Data Center Development Specialist is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and maintaining strategic relationships with data center clients, primarily targeting AI data center customers below the hyperscale level. The primary focus will be promoting IGSA – Baudouin large generator sets and supplementing with ATS, UPS, and complete backup power solutions. This role will collaborate closely with our data center partners to leverage their existing contacts and list of target companies, focusing on Tier 2 AI data centers with an emphasis on achieving revenue goals and expanding market presence in the data center space.
Essential Duties
Sales and Business Development:
- Proactively target and engage prospective AI and data center clients for backup power solutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, pricing, and service opportunities within the data center sector.
- Prepare and present proposals and quotes for IGSA – Baudouin generator sets and full backup solutions including ATS and UPS.
- Team up with our data center partners on strategic approaches for targeted companies, building mutually beneficial client relationships.
- Monitor Industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure Worldwide Power Products’ solutions remain competitive and aligned with client needs.
Marketing and Outreach:
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and conferences to prospect and promote company solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Become a member of key industry organizations in the data center space.
- Represent the company in presentations and meetings with key clients in the AI and data center industries.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, providing tailored solutions to meet evolving data center power needs.
- Upsell additional inventory or services to meet client demands and enhance customer satisfaction.
Safety:
- Wear proper PPE when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Possess a valid Texas driver’s license
- This position requires 50% domestic and international travel. Candidates must have the necessary documentation to travel internationally, in compliance with immigration laws and company policies.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably within the power, data center, or technology sector, and experience in commission-based roles.
- Experience in selling technical and engineered solutions, and familiarity with sales software like Salesforce.com is preferred.
