A manufacturing facility experienced significant growth in production orders that exceeded the capacity of their existing electrical service. While awaiting CenterPoint Energy to install a larger permanent service, WPP deployed a dual generator system to bridge the power gap and maintain full production capacity. The system operates 24/7 across six days per week, providing seamless power continuity for their manufacturing operations.

Services Provided By WPP
WPP engineered a redundant power solution with one generator configured as primary and the other as automatic backup. Both generators are routed through a single WPP transfer switch, allowing seamless transition should the primary unit require service or experience any issues. The backup generator is programmed to automatically start and re-establish power online if the primary unit fails, ensuring zero downtime for manufacturing operations.Both generators feature quick-disconnect coupling to a shared auxiliary fuel tank on site, streamlining refueling operations and optimizing on-site fuel storage. This configuration maintains full production throttle continuously, with the system running six days per week for 24-hour periods. The installation provides a scalable, reliable interim solution while the facility awaits their permanent utility service upgrade from CenterPoint Energy.
