Worldwide Power Products Completes Successful Emergency Maintenance Intervention for Cushman & Wakefield of Texas; Provides “Very Professional” Service

Houston, TX, (April 25, 2013) – Worldwide Power Products (WPP), a power-generation equipment provider to industrial clients worldwide, today announced its service team successfully completed an emergency problem-resolution project for a Cushman & Wakefield of Texas-managed property. When a mission-critical backup generator at the property failed unexpectedly, the WPP service team stepped in, diagnosed the issue and delivered a temporary standby unit to the property while the damaged generator was taken offline for repairs.

The generator, used to keep a process development lab online during periodic brownouts, had been running approximately 12 hours straight when one of the cylinders failed and the piston, valve and fuel injector were damaged. The generator seized up immediately, putting the lab’s operations in potential jeopardy.

“Our backup generators are essential to our business and the experiments we do here,” said Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Senior Engineer Mike Massey. “If we lose our power, the experiment has to start over. We cannot be without electricity for any period of time. WPP had people onsite working within a few hours and were very professional in everything they did. I’ve worked with three or four different companies and these guys are really on top of their game. They know what they are doing, and they deliver.”

Cushman & Wakefield of Texas became a WPP customer after WPP acquired Houston-based maintenance firm EPM in 2012. According to Massey, although his contract terms for preventive maintenance remained unchanged, he is extremely pleased with the pricing and level of service he is now receiving. “WPP is very reasonably priced, and their proposal for our annual contract was great,” Massey said. “They are very knowledgeable and professional, and I really like that they have rental units available if there is a problem.”

WPP offers a variety of maintenance programs to industrial and commercial companies in Houston as well as throughout the entire Gulf Coast region.
