Worldwide Power Products Arranges Expedited Delivery of Kato Generator End to Leading Oilfield Services Firm Ensign International Energy Services

Houston, TX, (July 31, 2013) – Worldwide Power Products (WPP), a power-generation equipment provider to industrial clients worldwide, today announced it recently procured-and delivered on a rush basis-a 600V Kato 6P6-3300 generator end for Ensign International Energy Services Pty Ltd (EIES), a proprietary limited company owned by Alberta, Canada-based Ensign Entergy Services (EES). EIES approached WPP after failure of the alternator in a power-supply generator threatened operations at Rig 941, located in Kurdistan, northern Iraq.

“I was very happy to find a company like Worldwide Power Products that comes through when others do not,” said EIES Drilling Superintendent for International Operations Raymond Taylor. “Obtaining that Kato alternator and bearings was a big save for us…WPP has been our ‘diamond in the rough.'” As one of the world’s leading land-based drillers and well servicing providers, EES had an extensive network of contacts but had been unable to procure the necessary equipment on a substantially expedited basis. WPP was able to deliver the equipment the next day for exportation. As a result of the project’s success, WPP is entering into discussions with EIES regarding future sales opportunities.
