Worldwide Power Products Moves into New Brittmoore Facility; Outgrows Four Locations in Five Years

Houston, TX, (August 29, 2013)—Worldwide Power Products (WPP), a power-generation equipment provider to commercial and industrial clients worldwide, today announced it has relocated its world headquarters to a new, 36,000 square-foot (sf) operations facility at 5711 Brittmoore Road in Houston, Texas. Sited at the intersection of Brittmoore and Tanner roads in west Houston’s thriving Energy Corridor, the location is WPP’s fifth facility in as many years.

“The Brittmoore facility is in an area that is the heart of the U.S. energy industry, with leading oilfield and drilling companies calling it home,” said WPP President and Founder Will Perry. “The larger facility will let us expand our services to these customers as well as the U.S. and international clients who rely on us for their power-generation needs.”

Along with the move, WPP is expanding its product line and will now be able to create customized generator sets and skids, tailored to specific job requirements.. From building out an engine with a pump, transmission and radiator system to integrating specialized electronic controls or precision ambient cooling packages, WPP will be able to procure, test and customize a diverse line of solutions its customers require.

The new facility also includes an expanded testing, service and repair shop for engines, generator sets and other equipment in its product line. With the expansion, WPP has added a natural gas line, enabling testing of its natural gas equipment whether for evaluation, service or repair.

“These new capabilities not only will make WPP truly a one-stop-shop for most of its clients’ needs, but they will also reduce procurement expense, delivery time and complexity for them,” said WPP Executive VP Mark Lum. “Our growing operation can now conduct an extensive range of processes and operations under one roof. It’s a perfect site, in a perfect location.”

The new Brittmoore location is sited on a nearly four-acre parcel with a 2.2 acre outdoor storage yard. It can accommodate a 20-ton crane in each bay and has 8,000 sf of office space.
