Engine Rebuild Technician – Level I – Houston, TX
Position Summary
As a Level 1 Engine Rebuild Technician will assist in the foundational stages of the engine rebuild process. This role involves supporting senior technicians with various tasks, learning essential skills, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Duties
Service Support
- Assist with washing and cleaning engine blocks and components using steam cleaning rooms and agitating chemical tanks.
- Support the teardown and initial inspection of engine assemblies, documenting any visible wear or damage.
- Help organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Learn and adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all stages of the rebuild process.
- Assist in various tasks as directed by senior technicians.
- Prepares and completes paperwork for all equipment repairs.
- Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner, constantly seeking to improve methods and promote the safety of others
Safety
- Will provide and use their own tools that are necessary to complete the job requirements. Necessary tools listed in “Essential Tools” section.
- Attend training sessions as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Competencies
Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Graduation from Technician/Maintenance training program preferred
Certifications & Licenses
- Possess a valid Texas driver’s license
Experience
- Minimum 1 year as technician on rebuilding engines in a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with CAT, Cummins, or MTU engines.
