Used Parts Warehouse Coordinator

Position Summary

Used Parts Warehouse Coordinator will coordinate daily the parts warehouse activities including the identification, cleaning, photographing, storage and security of inventory items, assisting with packing or unpacking items for shipping / receiving, and organizing of the storage facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Provides leadership for all employees in the parts warehouse department and other warehouse workers.
  • Coordinates receiving and storing of incoming parts in a professional manner that optimizes warehouse space with consideration being given for movement, weight, size and stocking levels
  • Pulls parts for sales orders checking for compliance with customer specifications, cleans parts and then packages for shipping, ensures all orders are processed for delivery or pickup promptly and efficiently
  • Coordinates and schedules “tear down” of machines or equipment, inspects components and parts, tags and adds to inventory
  • Assists with identifying returnable cores and makes sure they are returned to the supplier by the deadline date
  • Tracks the usage and re-order point of oil, coolant, batteries, shipping supplies and misc. supplies and reports inventory count to the parts department for replenishment
  • Assists in identifying scrap material and transports to scrap yard
  • Maintains inventory counts and records and resolves discrepancies where needed
  • Keeps the parts area clean and presentable
  • Works in a neat, orderly and safe manner, constantly seeking to improve methods and promote the safety of others
  • Has ability to disassemble/assemble complex equipment: refurbish, clean, sandblast and paint parts as necessary.
  • Attends training sessions as required
  • Reports all recognized unsafe conditions or acts to Management
Qualifications

 

  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 2-4 years of experience in related field
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or training
  • Person must be reliable, able to pass a drug test, have a valid Texas driver license and good driving record
  • Previous experience using forklifts, floor jacks, pallet jacks, high lifts, and/or power jacks
  • Must demonstrate ability to read, write and communicate orally in English
  • Must be a self-starter, willing to listen and work with others, and possess a teamwork philosophy
  • COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Basic personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine data entry, basic word processing and spreadsheets, etc.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Extensive physical activity performing strenuous daily activities primarily technical in nature. Must be able to exert more than 75 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.  Use of close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Ascending or descending ladders, scaffolding, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.  Bending legs downward and forward by bending leg and spine.  Moving about on foot to accomplish task, particularly for long distances.

Outdoor and indoor shop environment with occasional fumes or airborne particles.  Very loud noise (examples: forklift, engine noise, load banks).  Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with regular working hours, possible evening, and weekend schedules.

Salary range $17.00 – $19.00 per hour (based on experience) plus 5% annual performance bonus
