Worldwide Power Products Named “Winner of Distinction” by the Houston Better Business Bureau Education Foundation

Houston, TX, (May 16, 2013) – Worldwide Power Products (WPP), a power-generation equipment provider to industrial clients worldwide, today announced that the Houston Better Business Bureau (BBB) Education Foundation has honored it with a “Winners of Distinction” award for the second year in a row. Winners of Distinction is an award of excellence given to BBB accredited businesses and charity members that maintain a superior commitment to ethics, overall excellence and quality in the workplace.

“The Winners of Distinction award places emphasis and value on the attributes that I considered paramount for the founding of WPP, and that still guide our enterprise today,” said WPP President and CEO Will Perry regarding the announcement. “We firmly believe that success is empty if it is not accompanied by dedication to excellence in the community and the workplace. I deeply appreciate that the BBB has confirmed our commitment by bestowing this award.”

In 2012, Perry was honored by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Houston as Entrepreneur of the Year. Perry was selected by his peers, who voted for the chapter member that exemplifies the qualities of a great entrepreneur.

In addition to the Winners of Distinction award, WPP has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies (2012; #25 among energy companies) and to Forbes magazine’s list of America’s 100 Most Promising Companies (2011), and was named by the Houston Business Journal as one of Houston’s Best Places to Work (2012).
