In Advance of the 2013 Hurricane Season, Worldwide Power Products Offers Emergency Generator Rental Customers a Free Month’s Peace of Mind
Houston, TX, (March 14, 2013)-Worldwide Power Products (WPP), a power-generation equipment provider to industrial clients worldwide, today announced that through May 31, 2013, it will offer customers one free month in its Standby Generator Rental Program when five months are purchased. The program, which includes unlimited hours of emergency use for a competitive monthly fee, is designed to help companies plan and budget for the cost of disruptive weather events.
With the program, WPP helps customers identify the appropriate size emergency portable generator and then either delivers and sets it up on site or stores it at WPP’s local facility until needed. In the event a company chooses the off-site storage option, WPP guarantees a generator will be available and can be delivered with proper notice – should a hurricane or other disaster threaten the area. WPP’s low Standby rates remain consistent whether or not the generator is called into service. Should it be required for an emergency, the customer enjoys the benefit of unlimited usage with no additional fees.
“Emergency power is one of the most basic requirements for business continuity and employee safety,” said WPP Executive VP Mark Lum. “Knowing they have a guaranteed resource for emergency power gives our customers a safety net and removes one of the stressors of hurricane season, enabling them to go about their business.”
To assist customers with budgeting decisions, WPP offers a rental generator search tool on its site. There, customers can identify the wattage, phase, and voltage generator they seek, and immediately see a cost comparison between Standby rates and daily, weekly and monthly Prime usage rates.
“Although hurricane season is the peak period for emergency generator rentals, WPP offers its standby generator program year round,” said Lum. “Some customers in disaster-prone areas elect to keep a standby generator onsite or on reserve with us most of the year. No matter how many months of the year a customer is in our program, the flat monthly fee enables them to budget for a predictable expense and spread the cost of their security and peace of mind over time.”
